ADC chairs training program for Micro observers regarding 5th LAHDC Kargil elections


Kargil: Additional Deputy Commisioner (ADC) and District Election Officer Ghulam Mohi-Ud-Din Wani Friday supervised training session and review meeting for micro-observers in preparation for the 5th General Elections to the LAHDC Kargil at conference Hall, Baroo Kargil.

The training program was attended by observers, nodal officers, Deputy District Election officer, micro observers and concerned officers.

The ADC briefed the micro-observers of their role and responsibilities and asked them to ensure the implementation of all instructions regarding polling day in letter and spirit.

ADC Ghulam Mohiuddin said that right from organizing mock polls to the actual poll and on voting day strict vigilance of the entire election process must be adhered to.

Besides he said the Micro Observers have a huge role to play for free, fair and peaceful polls.
The ADC added Micro Observers have to play a crucial role on the polling day by observing the overall election process of the polling booths assigned.

He reiterated the master trainer to provide comprehensive guidance to participants on various aspects of the electoral process.

On the occasion, the observers also shared their views and experiences with micro observers.
They outlined their specific roles and functions.They also highlighted the significance of each position, emphasizing teamwork and collaboration.

During the training, the MO’s were trained in proper handling and operating of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), besides they were briefed about duties assigned to them.

Further detailed deliberations were also made on procedure for conduction of mock poll, sealing election papers and sealing of EVMs etc.
