Leh: Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Leh, Sonam Nurboo, chaired a meeting on Rogi Kalyan Samiti (RKS) for SNM Hospital at DC office Conference Hall on May 6.
The session focused on reviewing the progress and developments under Rogi Kalyan Samiti by SNM hospital during the preceding financial year and proposal of New Agendas for HDF expenditure.
During the meeting, Medical Superintendent Dr. Rinchen Chosdol provided a comprehensive briefing to the attendees through a presentation.
The presentation highlighted significant advancements in several key areas, including the generation of Ayushman Cards and the increasing number of its beneficiaries.
Furthermore, developments in the tourist ward, the ongoing construction of vital infrastructure such as the mortuary, RTPCR lab, multi-storey drug store, and maternity OT, as well as the establishment of the ST/ETP and the District Early Intervention Centre, were underscored.
The meeting also involved the sharing of data concerning the number of patients treated under various medical treatments, showcasing the hospital’s progress.
Crucial issues demanding attention, such as the proper reinstallation of electricity and the pressing need for additional dialysis treatment machines and other issues were actively discussed.
Councillor Lower Leh, Tsewang Namgial, emphasized the critical issue of drug addiction in the region and inquired about the operational status of its treatment center in Leh.
The status of projects discussed in previous meeting was also reviewed, alongside the introduction of a new agenda for Hospital Development Fund (HDF) expenditure.
The meeting saw the participation of key officials, including Councillor Lower Leh Tsewang Namgial, Chief Planning Officer Tsewang Gyalson, Assistant Commissioner Development AG Zargar, Chief Medical Officer Dolma Chuskit, and various other departmental officers and officials.
