Kargil: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan and Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve today visited the under-construction hospital at Kurbathang Kargil.
It was informed that LAHDC and District Administration is planning to shift the existing District Hospital from Kargil town to Kurbathang next month. In this regard, CEC minutely took stock of work progress on the hospital.
Khan inspected the electricity supply, central heating system, water supply, elevator, modular operation theatre, liquid medical oxygen plant and other necessary requirements.
Officials of the Health Department requested the CEC to provide a quarter from Council Quarter for doctors to make them easily accessible on emergency calls for the interest of patient care. The CEC and DC assured to take necessary action in this regard.
The CEC instructed the concerned officers to execute the works on priority in order to complete the pending works on the hospital building by September end.
The officers were also instructed to make the facilities like water, oxygen supply, electricity and central heating system functional from September 20 on trial basis.
Superintending Engineer R&B Abdul Mutalib, Executive Engineer R&B Mohd Sadiq, CMO Dr Munawar Hussain Wazir, Executive Engineer Mechanical Mohd Hassan, Medical Superintendent District Hospital Dr Kacho Liyaqat Ali Khan, Dr Abass Ali and other concerned officials were present on the occasion.
