HH Dalai Lama to visit Sindhu Ghat tomorrow, traffic advisory issued

Leh: In connection with the visit of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama to Sindhu Ghat in Leh tomorrow morning, traffic police Leh has issued an advisory for the smooth movement of traffic in and around Choglamsar town & Sindhu Ghat Area.

His Holiness The Dalai Lama will visit Sindhu Ghat from 8:30 in the morning to 11 pm. 

Commuters are advised to follow the following traffic advisory which is being circulated for information & adherence of/ by the general public.

i. No Traffic shall be allowed from Zampa Market towards Sindhu Ghat and from
Shashi Crossing towards Zampa Market via Sindhu Ghat during VVIP movement.

ii. Traffic coming from Leh side shall be diverted from Saboo Crossing via Solar Colony
towards Kharu side and shall be allowed from Sindhu Diversion towards Kharu only
after the movement of VVIP.

iii. Traffic coming from Kharu side shall be diverted from Shashi Crossing & Stakna
Crossing via Chuchot Yokma & Spituk Farka/ Balam Road towards Leh.

iv. All Heavy Vehicles/ Army/ Air Force/CAPF/ BRO/ GREF vehicles coming from Khaltsi
side are advised to take the alternate route from Spituk Farka/ Balam Road via
Chuchot towards Shashi Crossing, Stakna Crossing and Kharu Side and vice versa.
These vehicles shall only be allowed in interior routes after the conclusion of VVIP
visit.

v. All the invitees are advised to park their vehicles inside the venue at Sindhu Ghat
parking as per the invitation cards received by them.

vi. Only Ambulance, Fire & Emergency Vehicles shall be allowed to ply through
Restricted Routes.

vii. No wrong parking shall be allowed on VVIP route and if any vehicle found wrongly
parked the same shall be seized.

viii. Cooperation from the general public is highly solicited for successful conduct of the
auspicious visit.
