Leh: Chairman LAHDC Kargil, Feroz Ahmad Khan chairs a meeting to review the ongoing arrangements for the visit of His Holiness Dalai Lama to Zanskar at Council Secretariat in Leh.
The meeting was attended by Punchok Tashi, Executive Councilor Tourism, RD and Zanskar Affair and Deputy Commissioner of Kargil, Santosh Sukhadeve, Sonam Dorjay SDM Zanskar, besides SE R&B, SE Hydraulic, CMO, Dysp HQ, Manager SRTC, AD CAPD, Exen PDD and Rehmatulla I/C Executive Engineer R&B Zanskar .
During the meeting, SE R&B said that all the renovation and other civil work shall be completed before 5th August. DC Kargil shall approach Army for Tent and Tarpuline and CAPD shall install temporary store of CAPD at camping site. PHE shall make available drinking water for the devotees. Security arrangement shall be made by District Police and mobile Generator shall be made available by Mechanical Division Kargil. Along with this, a Medical camp to be arranged by CMO Kargil and it was assured by CEC and DC Kargil that all requisite arrangement as requested by Zanskar Buddhist Association and Administration shall be ensured week before proposed visit.
Punchok Tashi, Executive Councilor Zanskar Affair shall be camping at Zanskar from 1st August till concluding of the programme besides Gh Mehiuddin, ADC Kargil and Sonam Dorjay, SDM Zanskar had been assigned as Nodal Officer for Kargil and Zanskar.
