Leh: Member of Parliament, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal on Wednesday lead the cake cutting ceremony of 87th Birthday of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.
As per the reports, the ceremony was organised by Ladakh Buddhist Association, Ladakh Gonpa Association & Ladakh Tibetan Settlement at Jiwey Tsal in Leh Ladakh. Advisor to Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh Umang Nauralla was also present on the occasion.
Earlier, Member of Parliament, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, CEC LAHDC, Tashi Gyalson and many others on Wednesday greeted His Holiness Dalai Lama on the occasion of his 84th birthday.
Taking to the micro-blogging site Twitter, Namgyal wrote, “Warm greetings on the occasion of the 87th Birth anniversary of His Holiness the 14th DalaiLama today. Wishing a very happy birthday to the messenger of peace, harmony and compassion. My prayer for your good health and long life H.H. the 14th Dalai Lama Gyalwa Tenzin Gyatso.”

Wishing a very happy birthday to the messenger of peace, harmony and compassionate universal unity. My prayer for his holiness good health and long life,” CEC LAHDC, Tashi Gyalson wrote on twitter.
Deputy Commissioner Leh also extends warm greetings on occasion of 87th birth anniversary of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.
Meanwhile, Traffic Police Ladakh has issued #TrafficAdvisory for the birthday celebration of H.H. 14th Dalai Lama at Jivetsal Choglamsar on July 6. The advisory will remain in effect during His Holiness’s visit w.e.f. July 15 as well.
