Leh: The Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh , Adv Tashi Gyalson convened a meeting to review the status of various planned projects and Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) in the Council Secretariat .
The meeting deliberated the status of various projects and concern councillors raised objections on design of winter friendly bus stop in Leh district under Urban Local Bodies being constructed by NHICDL. The meeting also discussed several projects under STP.
CEC Tashi Gyalson expressing his reservation and taking note of the objection raised by concerned councillors, strictly instructed the department and executing agencies to suspend the construction work of Bus Stop and get the necessary changes and submit the report, he further instructed SE PWD and EO MC, Leh to check the quality of work.
On STP CEC directed the concerned officers to do an inspection on the water quality and directed the ADC to form a committee to check the parameters of treatment and to oversee the planning for disposal of treated water.
The meeting was attended by Councillor Upper Leh; Councillor Lower Leh; Councillor Phyang; ADC Leh, DSE, SE, Xens. AEE; EO; BDO and concerned officers.
