Leh: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu has released the first admission list for its four-year Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) (Hons.) programme at its Leh campus in Ladakh, with an initial intake of 60 students for the 2026–27 academic session.

The programme marks IIM Jammu’s entry into undergraduate management education in Ladakh, opening a new avenue for students seeking professional education in business, entrepreneurship and management within the Union Territory.

The Leh campus has been established in collaboration with the Ladakh Administration to expand access to higher education and strengthen the region’s academic ecosystem. The initiative is also expected to connect management education with local economic opportunities in tourism, traditional crafts, local enterprises and emerging businesses.

Prof. B. S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu, said the programme would help nurture future leaders, entrepreneurs and professionals by providing students with a strong foundation in business and management. He highlighted its focus on managerial skills, innovation and entrepreneurship, while underscoring the institute’s commitment to inclusive educational opportunities and regional development.

The four-year programme is designed to develop students’ analytical thinking, decision-making, leadership and problem-solving abilities, preparing them for careers in industry, entrepreneurship and further studies in management and related fields.

Admission to the 2026–30 batch has been determined through the prescribed selection process, which considers scores from JIPMAT 2026, CUET (General Aptitude Test) 2026 or JEE (Main) 2026, along with Class 10 and Class 12 academic performance and gender diversity, as specified in the institute’s admission policy.

The launch of the programme is expected to widen opportunities for students from Ladakh and other parts of the country, while encouraging young people to explore entrepreneurship and contribute to the region’s economic development.

Candidates can access admission-related information through the official IIM Jammu website, www.iimj.ac.in, or contact [email protected].
