Leh/Kargil: Expressions of grief poured in from across Ladakh following the sudden and untimely demise of Inspector Mehraj Khalid Giri, with political leaders paying tribute to his service and extending condolences to the bereaved family.
Hon’ble Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the police officer and described him as a dedicated officer who served with commitment and honour.
Dr. Akhoon conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, especially to his sister Nomo Bilques, and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul. He also prayed for strength and courage for the family to bear the loss during this difficult time.
Former Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor of LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson, also expressed profound grief over Inspector Giri’s demise and paid rich tributes to the officer’s professional service.
Remembering him as a highly promising and upright police officer with an outstanding professional track record, Gyalson said his demise was an irreparable loss not only to the police department but also to society at large.
He extended his heartfelt condolences to the family members and prayed for peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family.
