Leh, April 22, 2026: On the occasion of Earth Day, a plantation drive was successfully organized at Government Eliezer Joldan Memorial College on April 22, 2026. The programme was conducted in collaboration with the NCC Unit of the college, NSS Unit, Department of Environmental Science, and 1 Ladakh Battalion NCC.
The event was held under the guidance of Principal Prof. Stanzin Yangdol, who appreciated the initiative and highlighted the importance of environmental conservation and sustainable practices. She encouraged students to actively participate in such activities to promote ecological awareness and responsibility.
The plantation drive was coordinated by ANO Lt. Dr. Ujwala Anandrao Koche, along with NSS Coordinator Dr. Tsering Chorol, AP Jigmat Wangmo, and HOD Environmental Science, AP Sabina Bashir.
The programme witnessed active participation from faculty members including AP Rinchen Angmo, AP Dr. Nilza Angmo, Dr. Samina Rahman, and AP Zahoor Hussain, along with enthusiastic involvement of students.
