Nubra, March 14: Jigmet Raftan, an officer of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS), who recently assumed charge as Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Nubra, convened an introductory meeting with Heads of Departments of the sub-division at the SDM Office Complex in Diskit.
During the meeting, departmental heads warmly welcomed the newly appointed SDM and introduced themselves while briefing him about the functioning of their respective departments. They also highlighted their roles, responsibilities and ongoing activities being carried out in the sub-division.
Raftan interacted with the officers to gain a better understanding of the functioning of various departments in Nubra Sub-Division and emphasised the importance of strengthening inter-departmental coordination for effective governance.
He also stressed the need to ensure efficient public service delivery and smooth implementation of government programmes for the benefit of the local population.
The meeting was attended by all sub-divisional level officers from different departments.
