Khaltse, January 15, 2026:
In preparation for the 77th Republic Day celebrations, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Khaltse Mohd Sharif on Thursday chaired a high-level preparatory meeting with officers of various departments at the Administrative Conference Hall, Khaltse.
The meeting focused on finalising all arrangements to ensure a smooth, orderly, and dignified celebration of the national event. Detailed discussions were held on the selection of venue, seating and stage arrangements, decorations, parade and cultural programmes, issuance of invitation cards, parking facilities, and transportation logistics.
Emphasising the importance of seamless coordination, the SDM directed all departments to work in close synergy and discharge their responsibilities with precision to ensure peaceful and successful conduct of the celebrations.
The meeting was attended by senior officers of the Sub-Division, including Naib Tehsildars of Khaltse, Skurbuchan, Wanla and Temisgam, along with representatives from the health, police, ICDS, R&B, I&FC, education, power, PHE, PMGSY, RDD, veterinary, cooperative, supply, and treasury departments.
Later in the day, the SDM also convened a separate review meeting to assess the progress of action points emerging from the “Memangs-Si-Rjabstok” campaign conducted across villages of the Sub-Division. During the review, he examined departmental tour notes and evaluated the status of commitments made during the outreach programme.
The SDM instructed concerned departments to expedite pending works and ensure timely implementation of decisions taken under the campaign to deliver tangible benefits to the public.
