Dr Sajjad Hussain, Consultant Surgeon at District Hospital Kargil, has been conferred with the prestigious Fellowship of the Association of Surgeons of India (FAIS) at ASICON–2025, held at the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre, Kolkata.
The fellowship was awarded during the 85th Convocation of the Association of Surgeons of India (ASI) and was presented by ASI President Prof. Dr Pravin R. Suryawanshi, in recognition of Dr Hussain’s distinction as a surgeon and his significant contribution to the field of surgery.
ASICON, the largest surgical conference in the country, witnessed participation from leading surgeons and medical experts from India and abroad. The four-day conference serves as a premier platform for showcasing advancements in modern surgical care, innovation and medical education.
The Association of Surgeons of India, the largest surgical body in the country and the second largest in the world, has a membership of over 41,000 surgeons.
