Kargil, September 17, 2025: Hon’ble Executive Councilor for RDD/PRI and Zanskar Development Authority, LAHDC Kargil, Er. Punchok Tashi today convened meeting of Lambardars of Zanskar. The meeting was attended by SDM Zanskar Omkar IAS, Tourist Officer Zanskar Rasool Lal and Culture coordinator Tsewang Regzin.
On the occasion, the Hon’ble EC welcomed Omkar Rajendra IAS on his posting as SDM Zanskar.
Hon’ble EC sought support from Lambardars of Zanskar in organising 10th edition of the Ladakh Zanskar Festival 2025 to make the same a grand success like the previous year and conveyed appreciation to Culture and Tourism Department and District Administration for organising the event.
Later on, Er Punchok Tashi inaugurated a motorable bridge at Pishu Zanskar and addressed the gathering while conveying thanks to UT Administration and Executing agency as well as the contractor.
People of Pishu conveyed their sincere thanks to all those involved in developing the bridge. On way back from Pishu, the Hon’ble EC inspected ongoing construction of Multipurpose Hall and Link Road at Kumik.
Hon’ble EC has directed the executing agency to complete the ongoing Community Hall by end of October. Engineers of R&B Zanskar were accompanying the EC.
