Kargil, September 17, 2025: Additional Deputy Commissioner/ Administrator Municipal Committee, Kargil, Imteeaz Kacho launched Swachata Hi Seva 2025, a Swach Bharat Mission initiative today in Kargil at a ceremony held at dumping Yard Kurbathang.
The event commenced with the pledge ceremony led by the Administrator MC, urging individuals to remain committed to keeping their surroundings clean, not to litter, and to encourage others to adopt hygienic practices.
Addressing the green workers, the Administrator MC called for active participation in the campaign and applauded the green workers for their dedicated services.
Imteaaz Kacho said the welfare of green workers, casual laborers and other staff of MC is our responsibility. He further stated that the concluding ceremony of the campaign on 2nd of October will be observed with grandeur.
The ADC said behavioural changes are needed to be cultivated among society for responsible waste management.
Kacho also underlined the need to increase manpower to deal with cleanliness works of the 17 wards of the Municipal Committee.
The Administrator MC, further shared that Urban Local Bodies (ULB) and MC Kargil are committed for Sustainable Urban Development in Kargil and for that various initiatives are undergoing, complimented with the right direction and guidance of UT Administration.
Imteeaz Kacho asserted to make the 15 days cleanliness drive a success with the due cooperation of the concerned departments and civil societies.
