Kargil: Executive Councillor for Revenue, Tourism and KDA Kacho Mohd Feroz chaired a meeting today in the Conference Hall of LAHDC Kargil to discuss issues related to BSNL.
Executive Councillor for RDD and ZDA Er Phunsuk Tashi was also present in the meeting besides BSNL authorities of UT Ladakh.
During the meeting, several BSNL-related issues were discussed in detail. The Hon’ble Executive Councillor highlighted that BSNL network facilities are very poor in different areas of the district, particularly in Shakar Chiktan Sub-Division, Zanskar Sub-Division, Drass, Barsoo Block, Shargole Block, Pashkum block and other far-flung areas of the district
The BSNL authorities took note of all the issues raised and assured to address the public grievances in a phased manner. They further clarified that various proposals are still pending approval with the Competent Authority, Government of India, which need to be pursued both by the Council as well as the BSNL authorities of UT Ladakh. Once the necessary approvals are obtained, the works will be executed on a priority basis.
