Leh: The Deputy Commissioner Leh, Romil Singh Donk (IAS), convened an introductory meeting with all Revenue Officers of Leh District on June 22 at the VC Room of the DC office in Leh on Monday.
After a brief introduction session, the DC requested a comprehensive, block-wise data from all officers. This data included total population, revenue population, number of households, educational infrastructure (such as high schools and higher secondary schools), and the availability of healthcare facilities (including PHCs and NTPHCs).
He also urged the officers to present key issues and challenges prevalent in their respective areas. All Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) and Tehsildars subsequently shared various issues and challenges that they are facing in their jurisdictions.
DC Leh announced that, starting next week, he would personally visit all Sub Divisions to assess on-ground realities and closely monitor development works.
He also stated that such meetings would be held regularly to ensure better coordination and responsiveness.
Additionally, Assistant Commissioner of Revenue (ACR) Leh, Shabir Hussain, gave a detailed presentation on the Ladakh Land Report, specifically highlighting the Category Status Certificate portal.
The presentation explained the application process for the CST certificate and how students can access and utilize the online portal for faster and more transparent service delivery.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Leh, Ghulam Mohd; Assistant Commissioner of Revenue (ACR) Leh, Shabir Hussain; Sub-Divisional Magistrates of Leh District; Tehsildars; and Naib-Tehsildars of Leh District.
