Kargil: Acting CEC and Executive Councillor, Tourism, LAHDC Kargil Kacho Mohd Feroz Thursday launched a nationwide campaign for the Viksit Krishi Sanklap Abhiyan 2025, here today at the Council Secretariat.
Addressing on the occasion, EC Kacho Feroz thanked KVK Kargil and the line department officers for the conduct of the campaign and also encouraged all relevant departments for actively participating in order to ensure the success of the national campaign.
Earlier the program began with a briefing about the campaign by Dr. Nasreen Fatima, Senior Scientist & Head of KVK Kargil 1.
Later on, the Acting CEC, flagged -off the ‘Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan’ (VKSA) Bus under the presence of public representatives and department officers, marking the beginning of a two-week-long awareness campaign under the Pro-Kharif initiative. The campaign will run from May 29 to June 12, 2025.
Pertinently, in order to cover Wakha, Wadoo, Mulbekh, and Shargol, three teams made up of KVK scientists and line department officers headed towards the Shargole block.
The VKSA Bus will travel all blocks of Kargil, aiming to engage and educate 150 farmers daily, thereby covering a total of 25,000 farmers across the district by the end of the campaign under its jurisdiction.
Councilor Barsoo, Sheikh Ghulam Mohammad, Director Horticulture, Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Horticulture officer, Deputy Command Officer and District Agriculture Officer were present on the occasion.
