Kargil: The Haj Committee of Ladakh Wednesday organized a comprehensive Haj orientation training program at Auditorium Hall, Kargil, for the pilgrims of the district.

The event was graced by Member of Parliament, Ladakh, Haji Hanifa Jan; Executive Councillor Syed Mujtaba; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Imeeaz Kacho; State Haj Inspector Mohammad Yahya; Chairperson of Haj Committee Ladakh, Mohammad Ali Majaz; and representatives from IKMT and ISK, including Sheikh Bashir. Haj Committee members including Nazir Ahmed and others were also present.

The dignitaries were welcomed with traditional khatqs, showcasing the rich cultural heritage and warm hospitality of the region.

Addressing the gathering, MP Haji Hanifa Jan extended his heartfelt congratulations to the selected pilgrims.

He addressed key concerns related to air travel fares and passport formalities, assuring the gathering of his full support in resolving these issues.

He emphasized that every possible effort would be made to facilitate pilgrims from across Ladakh.

He prayed for a safe journey, spiritual fulfillment, and well-being of all pilgrims, expressing hope that the sacred pilgrimage would usher in peace, unity, and blessings for the entire region.

Executive Councillor Syed Mujtaba conveyed congratulations on behalf of the Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC Kargil.

He reflected on the spiritual significance of Haj, describing it as a transformative journey that purifies the soul and renews faith. “A sincere Haj,” he said, “leaves a pilgrim as pure as a newborn, cleansed of sin and full of inner strength.”

Representatives from IKMT and ISK also congratulated the pilgrims selected for Haj 2025. They reminded the audience that Haj is not merely a set of rituals, but a profound spiritual experience involving inner purification, reflection on global unity, and empathy for the trials faced by humanity.

State Haj Inspector Mohammad Yahya provided valuable information regarding safety and logistical arrangements.

He highlighted the provision of essential items such as backpacks, medicines, and other necessities.

He emphasized the meticulous planning in place to ensure that pilgrims, many of whom come from remote areas, can undertake their journey with comfort, dignity, and devotion.
