Leh: Aiming to make the Union Territory of Ladakh a cleanest destination across the globe and to provide an unforgettable experience to the tourists, the administration has initiated a night collection of garbage.
“The decision was taken after observing that the tourists are increasing with each passing day due to which more & more waste is generated. In this regard, the Municipal Committee Leh started night collection of wastes,” an official told Indus Dispatch.
He said that there are several benefits of collecting waste in night time as it takes less time to clear bins because of less congestion on the streets and vehicles make faster trips.
