Leh: The Public Works Department (Roads and Buildings) of the Ladakh Union Territory has cleared appointment of Chief Engineer and Superintendent Engineer.

Following approval of the Lieutenant Governor, Commissioner-Secretary PWD (R&B), Ajeet Sahu cleared the names for appointment of two Engineers.

Accordingly, an order issued by R&B Department said, Tashi Chombel, Superintending Engineer, PMGSY is appointed as Chief Engineer, PWD (R&B)/PMGSY on Officiating arrangement

The order further said, Ghulam Nabi Zargar, in-charge Executive Engineer, PW(R&B),Division, Khaltsi has appointed as Superintending Engineer, PMGSY on Officiating arrangement.

The above appointments, the order further said,  are subject to the conditions that the appointment of Officers on the respective posts, temporarily on Officiating arrangement is subject to the outcome of writ petition(s), if any, pending before any competent Court(s) of law.

This arrangement, the order said, shall not confer any preferential right upon the above Officers for consideration of substantive promotions to the respective posts which shall be made through the regular Departmental Promotion Committee, as and when such promotions are made.

The pay as admissible to the Officers shall be fixed in terms of FR-22 read with FR-35 and DoPT guidelines on fixation of Officiating pay.

Further, it is also ordered that;

The charge of General Manager, Projects, SIDCO Ltd. shall be held by Sh. Nisar Ahmed, I/c Superintending Engineer, PW(R&B) Circle, Leh till further orders.

The charge of Executive Engineer, PWD(R&B), Division, Khaltsi shall be held by Sh. Tashi Namgyal, T.O to Chief Engineer, PW (R&B), till further orders.
