KARGIL, JUNE 16: A special Mobile Passport Camp organised for Haj aspirants of the Union Territory of Ladakh concluded successfully at the Tourist Facilitation Centre (TFC), Kargil, with 80 passport applications processed during the two-day programme.
The camp was organised to facilitate prospective Haj pilgrims by providing passport-related services at their doorstep, helping them complete essential documentation in a convenient and hassle-free manner.
A total of 80 passport appointments were allotted during the camp, enabling aspiring pilgrims to avail passport services without having to travel outside the district.
The Haj Committee, UT Ladakh, expressed gratitude to Regional Passport Officer Srinagar, Shri B.S. Rawat, for his support and cooperation in organising the special camp. The Committee also acknowledged the assistance extended by the District Administration Kargil and various departments whose coordinated efforts ensured the smooth conduct of the programme.
Officials said the initiative reflects the commitment of the administration and the Haj Committee towards improving public service delivery and facilitating citizens, particularly those preparing for the Haj pilgrimage.
The successful completion of the camp is expected to ease the passport application process for Haj aspirants and support their preparations for future pilgrimage plans.
