Leh: A six-day training programme on the LoKOS Transaction Application and Human Resource Management was inaugurated today by the Ladakh Rural Livelihood Mission (LRLM) at the District Panchayat Resource Centre, Leh.
A total of 65 participants, including LRLM staff and community cadres from across Ladakh, are attending the workshop.
The training is part of LRLM’s ongoing effort to strengthen digital governance and institutional capacity under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihood Mission (DAY-NRLM). Expert trainers from the National Mission Management Unit (NMMU), Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, are conducting the sessions.
LoKOS is a mobile-based digital platform that enables real-time, transparent record-keeping of Self Help Group (SHG) Books of Records. The app is expected to streamline field-level data entry and improve the monitoring of SHG operations at the grassroots level.
In addition to technical training on the LoKOS app, the programme includes sessions on human resource management, aimed at equipping community institutions and LRLM functionaries with skills to manage their teams and activities more efficiently.
An LRLM official said, “This initiative is part of our broader goal to promote digital empowerment and ensure transparent processes in rural livelihood programmes. Building the capacity of our field teams is essential to the long-term sustainability of SHG-led development.”
The training programme will continue until July 27, offering hands-on experience, demonstrations, and interactive sessions to ensure practical understanding and implementation of the tools.
