5th phase of Disaster Management Training concludes

Leh: The 5th phase of disaster management training, organised by the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Leh in collaboration with Union Territory Disaster Response Force (UTDRF) and Aapda Mitra volunteers, in 12 Halqa Panchayats of Nyoma, Singaylalok and Kharu blocks concluded successfully Tuesday.

In these disaster management training, awareness and information about risk reduction measures and early response and safety mechanisms and procedures in the wake of any unfortunate incident were briefed by the concerned resource persons from UTDRF.

SDM; Tehsildar; BDO; BDC; elected PRI members, including Sarpanches, Panches; Women Associations and school students in different Halqa Panchayats of Nyoma, Singaylalok and Kharu participated in these training.

The 6th phase of the training is scheduled to commence from June 7, 2023 onwards in Leh and Chuchot blocks.
