Leh : As many as 49 Cataract and 10 pterygium were operated during in a free eye cataract surgery camp organised by Health Department Kargil Ladakh at Community Health Center Sankoo.

The camp was organised in collaboration with perfect vision super speciality Eye Hospital Srinagar
Dr Omar Rashid renowned Phaco surgeon and Corneal surgeon of Perfect Vision Srinagar and Consultant Ophthalmologist District Hospital Kargil, Dr Asiya Noor participated in the camp.
A Total of 49 Cataract and 10 pterygium case’s where operated during the camp.
People from appreciated this noble cause of Health Department Kargil and Perfect vision Super speciality eye hospital of Srinagar, for the poor patients of Kargil and conducting Free eye surgeries at their door step.
It has been an immense relief for the eye patients pertaining to the weaker section of the society.
The whole camp was supervised by the Chief Medical Officer(CMO) Kargil Dr. Munnawar Hussain Wazir accompanied by Block Medical officer Sankoo Dr Ghulam Hussain.
