3rd National Lok Adalat held in Kargil
KARGIL: As per the direction of Ladakh Legal Services Authority, the District Legal Services Authority Kargil organized 3rd National Lok Adalat Saturday.
During the National Lok Adalat five benches were constituted for different kinds of cases pending in the Courts like criminal Compoundable matters, cases u/s 138 NI Act. MACT cases, Bank recovery cases, Matrimonial disputes and other civil cases etc.
The 1st bench was presided over by Mr. Iqbal Ahmad Masoudi, Worthy Principal District and Sessions Judge Kargil and Advocate Asgar Ali Yarkain.
The 2nd bench was presided Over by Mrs. Phuntsog Angmo Ld. Chief Judicial Magistrate/Secretary DLSA Kargil and Advocate Muzaffar Hussain, the 3rd bench was presided over by Shafiq Mushtag Lone, Ld. Munsiff/ JMIC Sanko0 and Advocate Aga Syed Abass, the 4th bench was presided over by Imran Hanif, Munsiff Additional/Special Mobile Magistrate Drass and Tehsildar Drass and the 5th bench was presided over by Abdul Gaffar Zargar, Assistant Commission Revenue Kargil and Tehsildar Kargil.
A total number of 474 cases were referred to the National Lok Adalat out of the same total number of 224 cases were disposed off amicably. Settlement amount was Rs: 831011/- and fine of Rs. 35,700/- was imposed.
