Leh: The Directorate of School Education, UT Ladakh, in collaboration with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), launched a three-day capacity building programme for government school teachers. Designed and delivered by CBSE’s Training Unit, the programme focuses on inclusive pedagogy, experiential learning, digital skills, and competency-based assessment aligned with NEP 2020 and NCF-SE 2023.
CBSE Chairman Rahul Singh, IAS, inaugurated the session and stressed the need for in-house capacity building across subjects and grades. He urged educators to address learning gaps and make the most of the training opportunity. Secretary School Education UT Ladakh, Bhanu Prabha, highlighted the need for contextualised training to improve board exam results. Director (Training) CBSE, Manoj Kumar Srivastava, praised the initiative and outlined CBSE’s efforts to bridge policy and classroom practice.
Around 70 teachers from various government schools are participating in interactive sessions, hands-on activities, and action planning. The training will focus on aligning teaching methods with NEP 2020’s vision and NCF-SE 2023 guidelines to ensure inclusive, experiential, and competency-driven education.
