Leh: At least two girls were buried alive after avalanche hit Tangole Village in Kargil on Sunday. The dead bodies of both the girls have been recovered.
The Ladakh Police party and Basij-e -Baqiyatullah (ASZ) recovered the two bodies with the help of the locals. The two girls have been identified as 11-year-old Kulsum and 23-year-old Bilques.
Member of Parliament, Ladakh, JTN expressed his condolence to the families of the victims and prayed for the eternal peace of the deceased.
“I am saddened by receiving unfortunate lost of two lives in the avalanche in Tangole Kargil. My prayers for the departed souls and heartfelt condolences with their family members, relatives and friends. May God give peace to the departed souls,” he wrote on facebook.
He also appreciated to the Ladakh Police Personnels and volunteers of Baseej-e-Baqiyatullah (ASZ) for their efforts in rescue operations.
Chief Executive Councilor LAHDC-Kargil Feroz Khan has expressed his condolence to the families of the victims and prayed for the eternal peace of the deceased.
“Prayers for the two young lives lost in today’s avalanche at Tangole. Both the bodies have been recovered. The efforts of Ladakh Police personnel and volunteers of Baseej-e-Baqiyatullah (ASZ) are highly commendable” Khan tweeted.
He hailed the efforts of Ladakh Police personnel and volunteers of Baseej-e-Baqiyatullah (ASZ) and said that the rescue operation of finding the bodies of both girls within hours of the Avalanche is highly commendable.
