Leh, May 05, 2026: The spiritual fervour continues to surge in Ladakh as the public veneration of the sacred relics of Gautama Buddha entered its fourth day at Jivetsal Choglamsar, witnessing an overwhelming turnout of devotees.
According to the Ladakh Buddhist Association Youth Wing, nearly 15,000 श्रद्धालु from areas stretching from Stakna to Likir visited the venue to offer prayers and seek blessings. Devotees began arriving early सुबह, with long queues continuing throughout the day—reflecting deep faith and devotion.
The day’s prayer ceremony was led by monks from Shachukul Monastery under the aegis of the Ladakh Gonpa Association, as part of the ongoing 15-day veneration programme. Monks from 16 major monasteries are scheduled to conduct prayers on a rotational basis.
Volunteers from the Ladakh Buddhist Association Youth Wing played a crucial role in managing the large gathering, especially assisting elderly and differently-abled devotees.
The programme is being coordinated by the Ladakh Buddhist Association, which has issued a village-wise schedule to ensure phased participation from across Leh district.
As per organisers, tomorrow’s visitation will include residents from Leh Phudo, Gangles to Skara, along with government employees, personnel from the Army, paramilitary forces, and the Ladakh Police.
The ongoing exposition continues to stand as a powerful symbol of unity, devotion, and Ladakh’s rich spiritual heritage.
