, May 12: In view of the large gathering during the Sacred Holy Relics event at Karsha Monastery, the Health Department through Community Health Center Zanskar organized a special health camp to provide medical assistance and emergency care to devotees and visitors.
According to officials, from Monday till 1:00 PM on Tuesday, nearly 150 patients were examined at the camp. Most of the visitors were treated for common health issues including gastric problems, headaches, and normal fever.
Medical teams provided on-the-spot health check-ups, basic treatment, medicines, and necessary medical advice to ensure the well-being of devotees attending the sacred religious event.
Sharing details about the initiative, Dr. Dechana Lamo stated that the health camp was established to ensure timely medical care and maintain public health safety during the Holy Relics exposition at Karsha Gompa.
The initiative by the Health Department was widely appreciated by devotees and local residents, who lauded the administration for ensuring proper healthcare facilities and safety arrangements during the major spiritual gathering.
