Workshop on Traffic Management organised in Ladakh

Leh: Traffic Police Ladakh under the aegies of PHQ UT Ladakh organized a workshop on traffic management in Leh town at conference hall DPL Leh.

Ladakh Police had invited Rohit Baluja President of Institute of Road Traffic Education (IRTE) and Director College of Training Management for road traffic study of Union Territory of Ladakh. The workshop was attended by Executive Engineer PWD (R&B) Leh, Dy. SP Traffic Leh, Dy. SP DAR Leh, Executive Officer Municipal Committee Leh and officer/ officials of Traffic Police Ladakh.

While presenting his PPT on traffic management of Leh and Kargil towns , Rohit Baluja said that they have been invited to Ladakh by PHQ ,Ladakh and have been assigned the task of traffic study of Leh and Kargil towns . He said that they have started their work from Leh town and in coming days plan to do it in Kargil also . He said that in Leh town traffic police is already doing commendable work but to further improve the traffic system there is need to engage all stakeholders to address the bottlenecks which is so important in this regard. He said that they have already asked traffic police to share with them data of the study that traffic police has already done. He thanked Police Chief ,Ladakh Police and SP Traffic for inviting him and his team of experts for the study of traffic issues of Leh and Kargil towns and said that they will do everything to come upto the expectations of Ladakh Police and UT,Administration. He concluded by saying that soon they will present a detailed report of their study of Leh town to Ladakh Police .

At last on behalf of Ladakh Police DySP Traffic presented vote of thanks to all invitees, participants and guests. All participants were given refreshments and tea .
