Drass:
A special interactive session was organized at Government Degree College (GDC) Drass, where students from Sri Pratap (SP) College, Srinagar, visited the campus and engaged in an enriching exchange of ideas and experiences with the students of GDC Drass.
The programme witnessed the gracious presence of esteemed faculty members from SP College, including Dr. Hamidullah Wani and Dr. Irfan Rashid Shan who shared their valuable insights and motivated the students to pursue academic excellence.
Dr. Javid Naqi, Incharge Principal of GDC Drass, in his welcome speech addressed the gathering and shared his inspiring journey as a proud alumnus of SP College, highlighting how the institution shaped his career and personality.

Adding to the inspiration, Mr. Sajad Hussain, Head of the Department of Environmental Science at GDC Drass, shared his journey as an alumnus of SP College and as a present faculty member. He encouraged the visiting students to recognise SP College as a milestone institution and urged them to fully utilise its rich academic resources to achieve their goals.
Hajira, a 5th semester Environmental Science student at GDC Drass, also spoke on the occasion, expressing her gratitude for the opportunity to learn from distinguished guests. The session concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Zareefa Afroza, also a 5th semester Environmental Science student.
The entire proceedings were successfully conducted by Shanab Bashir Lone, a 5th semester Environmental Science student, who efficiently anchored the event and ensured its smooth flow.
As part of the programme, the visiting students also visited the Skill Development Centres of GDC Drass, gaining first-hand exposure to various vocational and entrepreneurial facilities available on campus. The day concluded with a field trip led by Mr. Sajad Hussain, Assistant Professor of Environmental Science, offering students a practical learning experience amidst the unique landscape of Drass.
The programme was overall supervised by Prof. Nasir Mehdi Shabani, Principal of GDC Drass, whose guidance ensured the successful execution of the entire event.
The visiting faculty extended their heartfelt thanks to Principal of the college for providing such a great platform of interaction among students from the twin college.
Refreshment was also served to students.
The interaction served as a platform for academic bonding, mutual learning, and motivation, leaving a lasting impression on all the participants.
