Review and Re-editing of Bhoti Textbooks

Leh ,September 12,2025: In pursuance of the directions of the Hon’ble Deputy Chairman, LAHDC Leh, the review and re-editing of Bhoti textbooks for Classes Nursery to VIII was undertaken at DIET,
Leh, from 8th to 12th September 2025.

The programme concluded with the final session held today, 12th September 2025, at DIET, Leh. During the workshop, experts from government schools across Leh district shared their perspectives and carried out a detailed review of the textbooks. In-depth discussions were held on the content, with a special focus on ensuring clarity, relevance, and cultural representation. The experts also suggested that the textbooks be further contextualized by incorporating indigenous terms related to the culture and identity of Ladakh, along with themes of Indian patriotism.

The programme concluded with a felicitation ceremony, where the experts were honoured with traditional khataks by HOD Smt. Tsering Yangdol and HOD Smt. Sonam Lamu, DIET Leh.
