Kargil: Jammu and Kashmir Bank, Kargil branch today conducted a financial literacy and awareness camp on social security schemes at Tharumsa, Pashkum, Kargil. The event was conducted as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Iconic Week celebration from June 06-12, 2022.
Cluster Head J&K Bank Kargil, Ishfaq Ahmed and other officials of the bank gave awareness on various schemes of the bank which was attended by progressive farmers and villagers.
The officials informed farmers about procedures and conditions to avail social security schemes like Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro food processing Enterprises (PMFME), Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and Atal Pension Yojana (APY).
The bank also approved a loan to two enterprises named Halman Apricot and Musafir Noodles Pushkum of Rs 25 lakhs and Rs 10 lakhs respectively.
Meanwhile, the members of Organic Ladakh Cooperative Society Ltd. encouraged the local farmers towards organic farming for which the said cooperative society assured to provide support in marketing of the products.
