Leh: Dy Chairman/EC Sports, Tsering Angchuk convened a meeting to review preparations and discuss the way forward for the conduct of the Nubra Sports & Adventure Festival 2022. The festival would commence from 19th to 23rd October this year.
Executive Councillor Minority Affairs, Ghulam Mehdi; Councillor Panamik, Tsering Sandup; Social Activist, Dr. Nordan Otzer; DYSSO Leh, Tsering Tashi, OSD to Secy Sports, Dr, Thakchos, and other concerned officials attended the meeting.

Strategies and logistical plans for the conduct of said festival were discussed during the meeting.
The festival is aimed to promote mass participation in sports and to showcase the potential of adventure sports which would further open a new arena for the local economy in adventure-based sports and tourism.
This year’s festival would have special attractions including Polo matches, Archery tournament, Cycling, Marathon, and Rock Climbing. Besides, there would also be musical concerts, and displays of local cuisine, handicraft/handlooms, and artworks during the festival in the Nubra region.
