Leh: A massive plantation drive is to be organised in Ladakh on this World Environment Day.
On World Environment Day which falls on 5th of June every year over 150,000 saplings are to be planted at Chushul village in Changthang by Go Green Go Organic committee.
‘Go Green Go Organic Mission’ has been initiated by His Holiness Chetsang Rinpoche and is now entering into the 11th phase of the Mega Plantation drive this year.
Hill Council, Leh in collaboration with the Go Green Go Organic Committee will conduct the Mega Plantation drive in Chushul on 5th of June this year on the occasion of World Environment Day. Sea buckthorn, Red Bush (Umbu), and various fruit plants will be planted during the mega event.
