Leh: India is today celebrating 23 years of its victory over Pakistan in the Kargil War of 1999, saluting the sacrifices and valour of the fallen heroes in recapturing several mountain at the Indian side of the Line of Control (LoC) in Kargil that the Pakistani forces had illegally occupied.
As a part of this celebration, the Chief Executive Councillor of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, Adv. Tashi Gyalson also paid tributes to the martyrs of Kargil War.
“We salute and pay our tribute to the Kargil War Heroes on this day of Kargil Vijay Diwas. The exemplary courage and unflinching determination of the bravehearts during the Kargil war will remain in our memory forever”, says CEC Tashi Gyalson in his message.
