GIS-based master plan 2050 in Kargil: CEC Feroz Khan reviews progress of coordination committee

Kargil: Chairman and Chief Executive Councilor (CEC), LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmed Khan today chaired a coordination meeting with different consulting agencies and departments working for the implementation of GIS-based master plan-2050 in Kargil district.

Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Anayat Ali Choudhary, Director Urban Local Bodies Dr Zahida Banoo, Chief Engineer PWD Er Ved Prakash, Superintending Engineer (SE) (PWD) Nisar Ahmed, Superintending Engineer (SE) I&FC Tashi Tundup,
Councilor Town Haji Abass, Councilor Baroo-Minji Sheikh Ghulam Mehdi, ward members, officers from engineering wing, representatives from different consulting agencies besides other concerned officers were present in the meeting.

Detailed discussions and deliberations were held on various aspects and challenges regarding the implementation of GIS-based master plan-2050 in the district.

Representatives of different consulting agencies gave a detailed presentation on work progress achieved in terms of planning, survey, feasibility etc.

CEC Khan directed the concerned officers and implementing agencies to work in coordination to avoid miscommunication. Khan also directed to constitute a supervisory committee under SE I&FC Tashi Tundup for overall supervision and coordination among the agencies.

The CEC also directed representatives of the consulting agencies to ensure timely complete all remaining works so that works can be executed at the earliest. He assured that suggestions from the public representatives will be reflected in the DPR.
