LEH: At the recently held University of Ladakh Ideathon conducted on 18th September 2025, Government Degree College Nobra bagged the 1st and 2nd prizes in the Indian Knowledge System and Culture category and the Agriculture and Food Processing category. Naziya Anjum, Padma Choskey, students of GDC Nobra novel product titled as Whiffs from Ldumra(incence sticks) won the 1st prize for its innovation and use of locally sourced ingredients. In the Agriculture and food processing category, students Sanju Kumari and Seddiqua Anjum secured the 2nd position for their food product titled as ‘Apricot bliss balls’. The product was appreciated for its use of local ingredients and for its high nutritional value and good packaging. The initiative behind the Ideathon was to encourage students to build upon innovative ideas and present them at the university platform. The Ideathon was supported by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell, University of Ladakh. Principal, GDC Nobra Rigzin Sandup and the faculty of GDC Nobra congratulated the students and lauded the students on their participation and achievements at the University of Ladakh Ideathon.
