Leh, Nov 20: Continuing the district-wide public outreach efforts under the ‘Mimang-Si-sJhabstogs’ (Administration at Your Doorstep) initiative, the District Administration today organised a major service-delivery camp at Chemday village in the Kharu Sub-Division. Residents from both Chemday and Kharu turned out in large numbers to avail government services and raise local issues.
The camp was supervised by Secretary, School Education, Ms. Bhanu Prabha, and Director, School Education, Ms. Tashi Dolma, who interacted with the public, reviewed departmental services, and urged communities to strengthen government schools through increased student enrollment and better utilisation of available schemes.
A strong team of senior officers — including SDM Kharu Sonam Dorjay, Deputy CEO Khalida Parveen, BDO/AEO Kunzang Dolma, CDPO Sonam Nilza, and Sheep Husbandry Block Officer Tsewang Dorjay — represented nearly twenty departments, providing a wide spectrum of on-spot services.
Throughout the day, villagers benefitted from ration card enrollment, ABHA ID creation, health screenings, and PMJAY awareness facilitated by the Health Department. J&K Bank officials delivered sessions on digital banking, pension schemes, and cyber fraud. The ICDS Department enabled PMMVY benefits and APAAR ID generation.
The Agriculture Department assisted residents with PM-KISAN registration, KCC applications, and related pension enrollments, while the Rural Development Department issued job cards and completed e-KYC updates. Sheep and Animal Husbandry teams distributed medicines and conducted anti-parasitic spraying across households.
Important documents such as Resident, Domicile, and ST certificates were issued on the spot, while the Education and RDD teams facilitated Golden Card issuance and Aadhaar enrollment and corrections.
Officials also reviewed ongoing works of PWD, RDD, PHE, and Irrigation & Flood Control, with several public grievances resolved immediately.
The camp recorded enthusiastic public participation, reaffirming the administration’s ongoing commitment to doorstep governance and ensuring last-mile delivery of welfare under the ‘Mimang-Si-sJhabstogs’ initiative.
