Kargil: Executive Councilor for Health, LAHDC, Kargil, Mohsin Ali today flagged off a group of 110 women progressive farmers of Agriculture Department Kargil for an exposure tour and training program to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir here at Council Secretariat.

Chief Agriculture Officer Kacho Mohammad Ali Khan, District Agriculture Officer inputs, District Agriculture Officer Extension, Head Quarter Assistant to CAO Kargil, SDAO besides women progressive farmers, SHGs and concerned officers were present during the ceremony.
EC Mohsin addressing the women progressive farmers said they should take maximum benefits from the exposure tour and training sessions that will be held in Kashmir across various agriculture centres and Sher-I-Kashmir University of Agriculture Sciences and Technology (SKUAST-K).

He said the tour will enhance the knowledge of farmers considering best agricultural practices which will help in to improve the agriculture sector in Kargil.
Pertinently the women progressive farmers including self-help group members during the seven-day tour will visit SKUAST-K campus Shalimar, Directorate of Agriculture, besides training sessions on Mushroom cultivation, high tech nurseries, organic farming, and farmers training will be done during the seven-day tour.
