The district administration concluded its extensive “Mimang-Si-sJhabstogs” (Administration at Your Doorstep) outreach programme in Khaltsi, marking the completion of a two-week campaign aimed at strengthening public–administration interface across the Sham region.
The initiative, which ran from 10 to 18 November, covered a wide network of far-flung villages including Yulchung, Lingshed, Neyraks, Tia, Temisgam, Achinathang, Lehdo, Skyurbuchan, Lamayuru, Kanji, Biama, Hanu, Hanupata, Fanjila, Wanla, Urbis, Domkhar, Takmachik, Skindiyang, Nurla, and finally Khaltsi. Each stop hosted public interaction sessions, service delivery camps, and awareness drives on government schemes.
Officials from multiple departments engaged directly with residents, addressing grievances and responding to issues related to Jal Jeevan Mission, MGNREGA, healthcare, road connectivity, and education infrastructure.
A range of on-the-spot services were also provided during the campaign, including Aadhaar updation, ABHA and Golden Card generation, along with basic health screenings like blood pressure and blood sugar tests. Hundreds of villagers across the region benefited from the doorstep service model.
The administration said the initiative helped improve transparency, build public trust, and ensure faster redressal of local concerns, reinforcing the government’s commitment to bringing services closer to remote communities.
