Kargil, November 4, 2025:
Director Social and Tribal Welfare, UT Ladakh, Kunzes Angmo (JKAS), chaired a comprehensive review meeting at the Directorate headquarters in Kargil to assess the progress of Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0 schemes in the district.
The meeting was attended by the District Programme Officer (DPO), all Child Development Project Officers (CDPOs), and officials from various ICDS projects.
During the review, the Director discussed key areas including recruitment of Anganwadi Workers and Helpers, training of Block Coordinators, co-location of Anganwadi Centres with schools, nutrition supply chains, and the upgradation of Anganwadi Centres to Saksham Centres.
Ms. Angmo underscored the importance of ensuring uninterrupted and quality nutrition services for pregnant women, lactating mothers, and children under six years. She directed field officials to maintain strict adherence to mission guidelines, ensure transparency and accountability, and regularly track deliverables under all ICDS components.
