Kargil: Joint Director Handloom & Handicrafts and Director SIDCO, UT Ladakh Lakshay Singhal reached Kargil on a 3-day extensive tour to the district.
The Joint Director reviewed the status of execution of work on the construction of AD Handloom and Handicrafts HQ offices.
The officer directed the concerned officials and the contractor to complete the construction within the stipulated time without compromising on quality of work.
He also interacted with the trainers and trainees and expressed satisfaction over the trainings being provided by district handloom & handicrafts offices under different central and state-sponsored schemes.
At the outset, the Joint Director visited CFC at Trespone, Weaving Centre Sankoo and NIELET incubation centre and directed the officials to work with dedication to bring out productive results of various government initiatives taken for public interest.
While interacting with media, the officer said all the development works under handloom and handicrafts will be fast-tracked and land disputes on various CFCs will be resolved soon and construction will be started.
The officers took on spot initiatives to resolve land disputes and passed directions to concerned Executive Engineers to prepare DPR to speed up the pre-construction formalities.
District Superintendent Handicrafts Ansar Hussain, construction wing officials and other officials were also present during the tour.
