Kargil: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan today inspected the feasibility of newly developing hospital building at Kurbathang to shift the District Hospital Kargil to the new location.

Executive Councillor Health Mohsin Ali, Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve, Councillor Town Haji Mohammad Abass, SE R&B Nissar Ahmad Bagh, CMO Dr Munawar Hussain Wazir, Executive Engineer PDD Altaf Hussain, MS DH Kargil Dr Kacho Liyaqat Ali Khan and other concerned officials accompanied the CEC during the visit.
The CEC enquired from the concerned officials about the requirements and modifications needed to immediately shift the District Hospital to new building to ease the public.
CEC Khan visited various departments at the new building and inspected its feasibility. The concerned officials apprised him that the right-wing of the building is almost ready and can accommodate 100 beds, while the left-wing requires minor finishing and another adjacent building is under construction. The new hospital can accommodate 300 beds.
The CEC and Deputy Commissioner instructed the concerned officers to complete the physical work of the building soon to ensure shifting of the hospital.
Later, CEC Khan visited District Hospital where the concerned officials informed that four sections including dental, orthopedics and physiotherapy will be kept at the town hospital.
It was informed that the current hospital at town will be converted in to Urban PHC. The CEC also inspected the road connectivity, feasibility for development of Urban PHC and construction of a patient sarai.
