Leh: A delegation from Shimsha-Drass led by Naib Parchanch, Zulfiqar Ali, called on the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, RK Mathur, at Raj Niwas today.
The delegation raised several issues for the development of Shimsha village in Drass, viz. the inclusion of the construction of the link roads in Special Development Package (SDP), installation of mobile towers to improve mobile and telecommunication connectivity, etc.
Another delegation led by Sarpanch, Shakar Chiktan, Haji Mohammad Mussa, raised issues related to the sub-division, including sanctioning of a solar-powered lift irrigation system to lift water from Kanji nallah for its use for agricultural activities from Samuna to Youkma Kharboo; installation of mobile towers/microwave telecommunication towers at Lamsu Sandoo, Youkma Kharboo, Shakar Sapi, Samuna, Mangshondou, Shakar Dho and Fosa Sanjak to improve mobile and telecommunication connectivity, etc.
