Leh: The Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh Adv. Tashi Gyalson convened a follow-up meeting with the officials of TOMRA, a Norwegian multinational corporation working on waste management.
Management of solid waste products and the examples of Deposit Return System (DRS) to cover Used Beverage Containers (UBCs) were discussed in today’s meeting. Suggestions on various hybrid models including a model pilot project in Leh for implementing the model DRS system to manage waste generation were deliberated among the officials.
