University of Ladakh to Host 2nd Convocation Ceremony on 22nd September 2025 at Kargil

KARGIL: University of Ladakh announces its 2nd Convocation Ceremony to be held on 22nd September 2025 at the Kargil. This momentous occasion will be graced by the presence of the Shri Kavinder Gupta, Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Ladakh/ Chancellor, University of Ladakh, as the Chief Guest of the event.
The Convocation marks an important milestone in the academic journey of the University as it continues to strengthen higher education in the Union Territory. Degrees and medals will be conferred to meritorious students of various PG and UG streams in recognition of their academic achievements.
Speaking on the upcoming ceremony, Prof. Saket Kushwaha, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ladakh stated, “The Second Convocation reflects the University’s commitment to nurturing knowledge, innovation, and research in this unique Himalayan region. We are honored to welcome the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor as the Chief Guest, whose vision and guidance have been instrumental in shaping the educational landscape of Ladakh, and other distinguished guests”
The University of Ladakh, established in 2019 as the first university in the Union Territory, has made remarkable progress in academics, research, and infrastructure in a short span of time. The Convocation will serve as a platform to celebrate the achievements of students, faculty, and the institution as a whole, while also reinforcing the University’s mission to contribute to the sustainable development of Ladakh.
Dignitaries from academic, administrative, and civil society circles will attend the ceremony, making it a significant event in the educational calendar of the region.
