Leh: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson, today inspected the ongoing construction works of the Shia Jama Masjid at Chute Rantak to review the progress achieved so far. Following the inspection, a luncheon was hosted in honour of the Hon’ble CEC by the Anjuman Imamia Jamia Masjid Construction Committee and members of the community. Nominated Councillor, Mumtaz Hussain, also accompanied the Hon’ble CEC during the visit.
The visit was attended by Anjuman Imamia Leh Town President, Ghulam Mohammad Mir; Vice President, Akhtar Hussain; executive members and elders of the community, along with members of the Al-Zahra Women’s Association and members of the Jamia Masjid Construction Committee.
Speaking on the occasion, President of Anjuman Imamia Leh Town, Ghulam Mohammad Mir, extended heartfelt gratitude to the Hon’ble CEC for his consistent support. He highlighted that the sanctioning of funds under the Capex budget, including approval for hamam facilities and central heating, has significantly encouraged the community and ensured steady progress of the project. “Your honesty and commitment towards the welfare of our community is sincerely valued,” he remarked.
Hon’ble Nominated Councillor, Mumtaz Hussain, also expressed gratitude on behalf of the local community, acknowledging the continued support of the Hon’ble CEC towards various community needs and welfare initiatives, which has greatly encouraged and strengthened the people.
