World Theatre Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Lotsava Hall, Culture Academy on 27th March Ladakh Academy of Art, Culture & Language, Leh in collaboration with Ladakh Theatre Organisation celebrated the event.
CEC, Adv. Tashi Gyalson was the Chief Guest and Member of Parliament was the Jamyang Tsering Namgial Guest of honour on the occasion.
CEC Tashi Gyalson congratulated and appreciated the endeavours of LTO (Ladakh Theatre Organisation, Leh) for a very powerful performance on World Theatre Day and said that it has tried to spread awareness pertaining to social issues of Society. CEC emphasises the importance of theatre medium, its significance and its audience. He further added due to unplanned urbanisation and migration poses a serious threat to our culture and identity. He appreciated President LTO for his contribution in preserving our culture.
During the event, artists of LTO performed a play on aGyurja.
